Welcome to SEWBReC's Online Recording Database (SEWBReCORD), a site for managing and sharing your wildlife records from our corner of Wales.
Please note we have updated the website which may mean that you need to clear your browser cookies in order to log on. Please get in touch if you are unsure how to do this! Also, please note that you now need to use your username (previously username or email address was accepted). If you are not sure what your username is visit this page www.sewbrecord.org.uk/user/login.
The primary purpose of SEWBReCORD is to make it easier for wildlife sightings to be collated, checked by experts and made available to those that need them for their research or decision making.
By registering with us you will be able to share your sightings with the recording community, explore dynamic maps and graphs of your data and make a real contribution to science and conservation. Please note that although this system is based on the same technology as iRecord and other Indicia systems, it is a separate entity and your existing log-ins will not work here.
Please also remember that the recent records map only represents records that have been entered into this system and does not show all records held in SEWBReC’s main database system.
South East Wales Biodiversity Records Centre (SEWBReC) is the centre for the collation, management and dissemination of biodiversity data for South East Wales. Our aim is to make appropriate local biodiversity information available to all those who need it, to help ensure that decisions which affect local biodiversity are made using best available data. For more information about us, please visit our main website: http://www.sewbrec.org.uk.
If you have tried to register but have not received your notification email then please check your spam folders. Please also bear in mind that new accounts require approval before you can begin to enter records, and that this will usually only take place during office hours. This security measure is in place to help prevent misuse of the website and to help safeguard the security of it's users.
